Making a float suit of balloons

    I can´t wait till summer.
Then I can do my favorite balloon thing.
I start by blowing up about 30 clear Qualatex 260Q modeling balloons and putting them in a bag. Then I blow up a Qualatex 646 and twist two 260Q´s on each side of it. Then I drive out to a lokal lake.
I pulled the 646 up between my legs so that the 260Q´s wrapped on the side holds it in place. I then wraps the 260Q´s around my torso and thighs one at the time making a suit of balloons. I only wrap ballons down to my thighs to keep balance in the water.
Then I slowly wade into the lake.
As the water gets deeper I can realy feel the boyancy of the balloons. I get so boyant that I float in a seated posision with my armpits about 30 cm from the water. It feels like Ì´m flying and the latex feels so nice on my skin. The 646 is nice and soft to sit on and it´s boyancy can realy be felt. Since the 260Q´s are putted so closely together that they works like a wetsuit keeping me warm.
Im able to float around for abou 2 hours until the balloons begins to pop.

That actually sounds like a lot of fun. It's a shame there's no bodies of water around here, let alone any with enough privacy, to try that with.

      Sounds like my kinda time...

Though in my head it would invove being kidnapped by some girl, forced into a bikini or one piece, then being thrown in so she could watch me struggle, eventually fishing me out and declaring me the looser while she giggles thinking.of the next challange.

Well I´ve once met the lady who owned a castle near the lake. She came padleling by in a kayak while I was floating around. We spoke a bit about it and she thought that it was a funny idea I´ve got.
There was actualy nothing embarrasing about it

Re: Making a float suit of balloons

Friday I woke up early, so I started blowing up one Q646and the last Q260´s I had. I wasn´t sure that I had enough, but when I was done blowing the balloons up there was 23 clear Q260´s and a yellow Q646 with 2 Q260´s twisted on each side in the bag.
I drowe to a small lokal lake with an unused beach and put on a pair of latex briefs and stepped over Q646 and pulled it up to my croch with the 2 Q260´s on each side of my waist. I put on the balloons on my thighs and torso twisting the ends of the balloons together like making a baloon animal. When I had no more rom on my body there was still 10-12 balloons left in the bag, but I wade into the lake. As soon as the balloons touched the water I could feel their boyancy. WOW it felt like I was flying. I floated in and put on 4 more balloons on my thighs and waded out again while pushing the balloons close together so there was no room between them. It felt like I was wearing a suit of balloons and since almost no water penetraded my balloon suit it gave me a nice warm rubbery feeling in the balloon suit.
An elderly man came to the beach to take a swim. He asked if the suit was my own invention and if it was stable in the water and I said yes and since I still had some balloons left I offered him to try it, but he declined. He went for a swim and left half an hour later.
I padled around on the lake enjoying the the weightless feeling the siut gave me, but suddently it started raining and the wind started blowing my spare ballons out of the bag, so I padled to the beach to pick them up. It was hard to walk with all the balloons on my body, but I got all of them and it had stopped raining so I putted the last 8 balloons between my legs and waded out in the lake again. The extra balloons really maked me boyant. My whole upper body was now free of the water, but I still felt stable. I really felt like flying.
It started raining again and I got a little cold so I paddled to the beach and began to take of the balloons on my thigs, but the rain sopped and I didn´t feel like taking the rest of balloons of, so wapped the balloons around my legs like a mermaid.
I was hard to walk out into the lake with all the balloons around my leg, but once I got to deeper water I began to float in an upright possision and the boyancy pushed the balloons close together so no water got between them. It was a whole new weightless experience. WOW. I eventually got a little cold and I paddled ashore and began to take all the balloons of. I do this with the balloons under water to reduse the noise (wet balloons are really noisy to take of). About 15-16 ballons was still unpopped so I putted them in tha bag and brought them home.
Since my newly discovered way to wear the balloons felt so good I went to the lake yesteday again. I was in such a hurry that I forgot my breifs, but I just putted the 16 balloons that I had left on my nacked body, pusing them close together so I got a nice suit. I waded out and floated around for 2 hours enjoying the weightless feeling the balloons gave me.
Eventualy the balloons bagan to ge worn out and popped one by one, so I popped the rest under water, putted them in the bag and brought them home to the trash.
All in all two great days with 26 modeling balloons

Re: Making a float suit of balloons

Starting the suit morning blowing up 30 clear modeling balloons, the only boring part of the experience.
I finaly got the balloons inflated and got on the way, only to realice that i had forgotten to put on sunblock.
Finaly i got to the lake and I started to wrap the balloons around my tighs and torso.
Some balloons popped, but I managed to make a suit of 26 balloons.
I slowly waded out in lake and as soon as the water reached the balloons i could feel their upward pull..
I started floating in a seated position.
Wow it felt like i was flying.
I padled out to the middle of the lake and the balloons began to feel like a tight latex suit on my body..
The sun made them nice and warm to wear.
After a long padle against the wind, i padled toward the shore
When i reached the shore i just letted the wind push me back toward the starting point.
Looking down trough the clear water i could see the water plants passing under me..
It felt like i was flying.
After about two hours i reached my starting point.
The balloons started to deteriate and pop, so i took of the balloons on my tighs and wrapped them closely together around my legs.
It felt kinda like a wetsuit.
I began to feel a little cold so i desided to go out of the water.
              But what an experience
