    Are they defective?

Hi guys, I'm gonna have a looning session soon so I'm checking my balloons, they aren't new unluckily and as a phobic non-popper I'm afraid that they could pop.
I want to know if these defects in these new balloons (pictures) are dangerous or I can go safely.
I would also know if some of balloons, 1-2 years old, stored inside the closet in a plastic bag, some are just sticky, some have sperm stains and some still look very nice, you would recommend me to avoid them?
    Thanks for your replies.

These are Tuftexes, right? Plenty of mine have flaws on their mouthpieces as well, that's no issue at all. If stored properly, 1-2 years should be fine, but best not push the sticky ones past their rated size. I've never kept stained ones around for that long so I can't speak on that.
I'd rather suggest holding them up against a light and checking for pinholes. Usually they do not pose a problem, but they still freak me out, even though I'm not phobic.

Thank you for the reply. The balloon on the first picture is the one which makes me worry more, the mouthpiece is "openable". For the rest, I will follow all your tips, thanks again.

I'll second that flaws like that on the mouth is pretty common for TufTex. It doesn't affect the rest of the balloon at all.

As others have said, flawed mouthpieces like those are not uncommon on certain brands, especially Tuf-Tex. I would be more worried if they're unused and feel sticky on the inside.

Are they Tuftex? If so, don't worry, you can overinflate them like crazy, they will be fine, that kind of defects are common on Tuftex brand and they can't affect the balloon unless you find a way to unroll the neck and also try to inflate that piece of latex too........ which is rare for a non popper..... so go ahead buddy!!

If the defect is not located on the neck or the body, then it doesn't matter.
