Re: Balloon Brands

Qualatex is best for quality. Never had any problem with them. I’ve tried 11, 16, 18 and 24 inches. They have good colours and get tight. Belbal are a good choice too. I’ve only tried those in 14...

Re: containing the shreds?

I find balloons don’t usually shred too much when sit popping, but it depends how fresh they are and how tight they’ve been blown. It’s blow to pops that can cause major shredding. I’m still finding...

Re: LoonQuest 2 (new game)

Re: Anyone use VR?

I’m going to look into making a similar game for non VR users. I’ll do it in the unreal engine so I can convert it into VR afterwards. It’s basically going to be a house with balloons hidden in...

Re: LoonQuest 2 (new game)

Thanks, I’ve added more sounds to this one. Graphics are a bit better too. There’s lots more choices as well because you make your own character. In the last one you were following a set story with a...

Re: LoonQuest 2 (new game)

Just wondering, is there anyone who wants to play this that doesn’t have a windows computer? I can convert the game to work on Mac, Android, or Linux too, but it’s a little more complicated. I’ll...

Re: LoonQuest 2 (new game)

Iím using RPG maker mv for this game. Itís pretty simple, but you can script more complicated game mechanics as well. Iíve scripted a few mini games so far, but itís mostly story based.

I made a...

Re: How many of you are scared of balloons popping?

I’m still scared, but despite that, I’ve managed to do quite a few blow to pops now, with lots of ear protection of course. It’s just practice really, keep blowing balloons, slowly making them bigger...

Re: LoonQuest 2 (new game)

Game is almost finished. I’m just working on the ending. There’s going to be three depending on certain choices throughout the game. A popper ending, one for semi poppers and a non popper ending....

Re: LoonQuest 2 (new game)

Yes, I can. Might have a few beachballs or something in it. Just have to do the graphics for them.

Re: LoonQuest 2 (new game)

Game is going well so far. It’s already longer than the first. I especially love the dialogue in this one. You see the characters face when they talk. It adds a lot to the conversations. Tried some...

Re: Grounding Balloons

Touch something metal that’s grounded such as an unpainted radiator pipe. In theory you could use a grounded anti static wrist strap, but that’s going a bit far. I’ve never had a problem with it. It...

Re: Hand pump

Also oxygen isn’t particularly dangerous on itself. It’s an oxidiser, so accelerates the speed fires. It should be safe unless the ambient oxygen of the room increases. Then an ember could turn into...

The chamber

Kizzy is making breakfast when she hears something drop through the letterbox. She goes to see what it is.
A small package is waiting for her.
Strange, I donít remember ordering anything. She...

Re: Hand pump

Of course it works. Might be a little slow with a small pump, but it’ll go bang eventually.

Re: Speed up oxidization.

Yes. H2O2 is a good oxidiser. 3% should work, but you can buy up to 11%. (You can get the concentration to around 50% by freezing the water out of solution)

Re: Speed up oxidization.

Have them in a moist plastic bag. The water will help oxidise them. Obviously if you filled a bag with pure oxygen, that would be the fastest way. Overwise leave them in a sunny spot.

Re: noise cancelling headphones

I reckon ordinary ear defenders would work better than noise cancelling headphones. They aren’t meant for sudden noises. They work by using a mic to sample the background noise and emit an inverse...

Re: Which would you prefer?

Qualatex for me. Nothing beats their durability and tightness. My favourite sizes are 11-16 inch, so not as disappointed as everyone else by the Q24 dying out. My favourite balloon overall is the...
