Perhaps something happens at the fair? An inflatable as a prize seems an obvious choice. Then Liz can blow it up, sit on it/use it as a chair, notice how nervous Julian is getting...then the fun can...

I think the characters need to have some kind of personality. I like stories where we get some insight into their relationships and how they interact with balloons. How do they react when balloons...

Thanks for considering it! Honestly, I'm just more turned on by the idea of a female MC who is realistically solid -- not fat, but definitely not skinny/petite. Maybe fit/athletic.
