    Looner video game

    CHAPTER ONE IS DONE!
    DOWNLOAD: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1_2...JPaAR7hnDVulLi

It should work on most computers/laptops from windows xp-win10. Doesn’t work on mac or Linux unfortunately. Your antivirus will most likely complain because it hasn’t been downloaded much and it’s an .exe file. Read the readme for install instructions and let me know if you have problems.
    Report any bugs here. Enjoy!

Would anyone be interested if I made a looner video game? It was be a 2d RPG based game (made with RPG maker). It would have custom graphics, sounds and scripts. I would base it off the world from my stories (although it would be a separate storyline). I would make it either have a linear storyline, or a open world with quests.

I’ve made a few games with the engine before, so I know what I’m doing. It would be able to run on old computers as well as new, so most of you would be able to play it. I should be able to do it all myself, but would gladly accept help with custom graphics or sounds. Graphics would be things like character art (low res) or possibly tile sets and sprites. Also backgrounds are needed, otherwise I’ll have to use the default ones. (again it would be more pixel art than realistic graphics. It’s also possible to use photos, they’ll just be down ressed)).

Let me know if you’re interested or would be willing to help. I can give you full details of what I need on request.

    Feature list:
Working shop and currency system (real balloon brands and prices)
    Quest system and rewards
“Battles” with balloons (do enouth damage to pop them etc)
    Level system with skill sets
Party system (unlock characters as you play and chose who to take with you)
Multiple areas with different people, each with their own quest/story
Balloon related mini-games and possibly puzzles

    Current progress:
    Sounds-done
    Character graphics-done
    Sprites-done
Backgrounds-needed (640x320 photo or artwork of interior locations. Mostly plain bedrooms filled with balloons)
    Game areas-mostly done
Storyline and quests-few more left. Will be expanded on in chapter 2

Being a hardcore gamer i would definitely try your game. Though I'm not a fan of rpg games, i need to play this since it is made by our fellow looner.

    I'm in!

I actually thought about doing this in the past, since I picked up RPG Maker real cheap some years ago. But I don't have the patience or time to learn it properly, so it never happened. Best of luck though! I would definitely try it!

It’s going well so far. First few quests and shop system is done. Got most graphics done, just need a few backgrounds. Making the different areas and writing the quests takes the time. Reckon the first chapter will done done within a week.

Not yet, it’s a bit early for that. I’ll probably fill the game out a bit and add more quests, then I’ll release chapter one to see what people think. If everyone likes it, I’ll work on a much longer game.

Could do with some quest ideas if anyone can think of anything. Got a few already but need more. After that, I just need some background art and a picture for the title screen.

Currently adding a mini story with Jenny and Winter to the game. It’ll take place halfway through the main game and will be expanded on in the next chapter. Just need to design a few new areas/quests and chapter one will be ready for release.

What do you mean by quest ideas? What do you already have, as an example?

First few are just basic quests like go fetch something for me (balloons of course) there’s another where you have to find an old warehouse to recover a packet of legendary qualatex 24’s, just done a few mini games (one where you put between 1 and 4 breaths in a balloon, then pass it on. You lose if it pops when you’re blowing it) it works quite well. The other two characters randomly choose how many breaths as well, so each game is different. Also done the old, hit the keyboard as fast as you can before the timer runs out.

Thinking of having a little storyline as well. It’ll basically be like an interactive book. I’ll be releaseing chapter one very soon. If people like it, I’ll spend more time on the second. It’ll be easier to suggest features when you have an idea of what is and isn’t possible.
