Lovely pair of Fish Hunters there. I must admit I do love those older (say 80’s era dinghies). They were much deeper sided- until the regulations changed and a mandatory second DIN chamber had to be included. Since then these newer dinghies just never looked quite as inviting to me, but there are a few exceptions like those yellow Intex Challengers, or those Sevylor Caravelle’s. One of my favourite 2 man’s I currently own is an mid 80’s era Campari Sport White dinghy with the Campari logo in red and blue. I managed to find one on EBay the other year

Nice! They are stiff, but in the sun they become super soft and stretchy. And of course they are perfect to heat stretch

          Thanks!
There still are Intex boats with a single chamber, or is that not your thing?

And oh yeah, I also love those Challengers and Caravelle’s. I used to have a single person Seahawk

I like stiff and hard to blow. I like the pressure.

Those boats can handle quite a lot of pressure. Have fun with it!

I went through my picture archive and found this old promotional image - no clue where it came from but my only thought is "why stop at 500, I'd want -at least- a 2000"

                    oh to dream ....

Nearly new old stock. The guy who sold it to me inflated it once to see whether it holds air.

And my lungs were able to push it above the mark on that strip pressure marker without any problems ("it is overinflated now"). Seems they work very well!

TÜV / GS marks - for the German market! TÜV is a huge supervision and technical control association - they also offer the mandatory car inspection every two years for roadworthiness/safety.
GS is the sign that this product follows all product safety parameters which were valid in that time ("Geprüfte Sicherheit").

That is where my lungs said it was enough :-) Over the overinflation marker on the Fish Hunter 250.

                          Very stiff now!

My new boat! Same material as the Fish Hunter but the boat itself is a bit smaller, so it’s easier to carry and easier to stretch
