    Latex vs Mylar

So who prefers Mylar to Latex? personally I prefer latex balloons. Mylars look great but nothing beats a big bunch of crystal latex balloons.

Big mylars are lots of fun, especially with helium. Can be quite rough with them, rounds are fun and hearts look great too. The 18" ones are good to have around, but I don't really loon with them much.
Neither are really good for popping if you're into that other than deflation so they are better for nonpoppers really.

I definitely prefer lots of latex balloons to lots of mylar balloons in a bunch

I've never had a mylar balloon, but at least visually they do nothing to me.

If given the choice I prefer latex but I do really enjoy riding helium mylars upright (straddling the seam) and hearing them squeak in protest. The girly print ones are my favorite to play with

Anyone who is or was phobic likely has little or no interest in mylars since our fetish spawned from a phobia of balloon popping, which mylars don't really do in the same way that latex balloons do

                Latex, without a doubt

                  Latex.
I like giant mylars and promotional mylars, though.

Latex all the way. But I can appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into making the more complicated mylar shapes (the variety of which has gone way up in recent years!).

Plus... it feels like including a mylar in a bouquet makes it a more "legitimate" gift or decoration somehow, in the eyes of more normal people. Like: a dozen helium latex balloons by themselves are weird, but a dozen latex plus a big mylar in a specific theme is fine. So when I decorate I sometimes use mylars as a permission structure, an excuse to have more latex

Also, phobics who aren't concerned about mylars have never heard one overinflated Don't leave a black mylar balloon out in the hot sun all day, is all I'm saying... it can be surprisingly loud.
