Re: Favourite food
I'm italian so... pasta (in many variants, above all "alla norma", basil pesto, with tuna, carbonara, with mussels and clams ecc ecc) and lasagne (but true lasagne, nothing to do with lasagne made abroad).
I love so much fish, fried squid, shrimps, swordfish, octopus.
I also love meat, chicken, veal, horse meat. No pig please.

Re: Favourite food
I eat quite everything, except from brusselsprouts, that stuff I really don't like. But favorite is spinach, with mashed potatoes and fried egg. Yellow still runny. And then mix it all together. Love it from childhood in.Comment

Re: Favourite food
I can do likewise, with two buses, and land in an Indian neighborhood. Such types of choices abound, Chicago is definitely a food paradise.
Southern fried chicken, Swiss steak, monggo (a Filipino dish with mung beans, pork, etc.), most Asian food (as USAns know it), chicken paprikas (which I have to get in *Ohio*), butterscotch pie, homemade mashed potatoes (with skins and all) with homemade pork gravy, kreplachs, Peruvian casserole (whatever it's called), dark chocolate, pancakes with maple syrup, yogurt, spaetzle/pasta, pasties/some of the pot-pies (very much!), ribs/brisket/pulled pork BarBQ, salad with spinach and spring mix, mushroom, Polish hot dogs (common in Chicago!), fish (especially walleye, lake perch, salmon, catfish, grouper...I could easily keep going), curry, cilantro, chicarrons, bacon, eggs-over-easy or poached - over toast, chili, miso soup, Ethipoian "platter" on injira, tacos...I'll stop there. I could keep going.
In other words, all kynd'za stuff, and Chicago opens up my international taste buds! Cheese is the only thing lacking fairly notably and it's very nice to have veggies with whichever one or a couple of these I may be having, too.
I make a stew (out of some leftover meat and juices (or gravy) which has ingredients from nine or ten nationalities or regions in it. I like my cooking.People who don't know the difference between BURRO and BURROW, can't tell their ass from a hole in the ground.
There's been a lot of thefts of helium-filled balloons recently. More so than in the past, so they're going up. I think inflation is to blame.
