Is there any truth in this? (Health Benefit)

I read somewhere about the health benefits from putting feet up, and even better if it’s on a surface which reduces hard pressure (the example was inflatables) as they contour, move and respond to suit the shape and pressure which is a big compensation. Of course the softer the better, so rather than an inflatable hard pillow: soft beach-flatables and balloons are even more compensating!! Balloons are the best for this. And I grew up seeing my family use leftover balloons as foot rests while reading or watching tv.

The simple answer is, yes. Anything that allows your body to rest on something soft, cushiony, or pliable that doesn't add additional pressure, is good. However, if the item upon which you rest your feet is constantly moving/flexing, that can also cause other pressures on your ankles, and lower legs.

This is why something firm, but soft is better, e.g. an inflatable pillow, cushion, or something soft like a pillow/cushion-type footrest, rather than a balloon.
