I've a 10 pack of 24" balloons in generic packaging from Poundland in London Elephant and Castle shopping centre. I had the last bag. When I finish work I'll upload the pics and see if anyone can identify the brand. If they are good, I might buy more, cheap at 10p each.

Re: Poundland 24" balloons
Let us know if these are any good. If so, I'll be clearing-out my local Poundland store, if they have them in-stock....Comment

Re: Poundland 24" balloons
They are soft but fragile. Bigger than a 24" TufTex balloon but less resiliant. They don't take much abuse. They don't shred like TufTex 24" either, they pop like a Qualatex 24" in regards to shred pieces. Just a larger version of the unique 16". 10p whats not to like? recommended!!Comment

Re: Poundland 24" balloons
Well, I've now checked both my branches, and got nowhere. So, you're very lucky, Larry, but it seems like these may not be being stocked in all branches, which is hugely annoying.
Still, if anyone else has any success, do let us know. I'd like to see if these are just in London, or are being stocked elsewhere.Comment

Re: Poundland 24" balloons
They are also available from Amazon for £6.50, a little more I now but if you want them for an event or something it might be the way to go. 65p each opposed to 10p.Comment

Re: Poundland 24" balloons
None of these balloons at my local Poundland (south of London). Where have all the other packets gone as Londonlarry bought the last packet mentioned in the original post. Surely if only the one Poundland stocked these balloons then there must be more around the Elephant and Castle area.
All a bit of a mystery!Comment

Re: Poundland 24" balloons
I can't get back in until Thursday, I'll have a look then, that is my Rota'd day off this week. If they have more I'll swipe the lot. If you are desperate for Unique 24" then Amazon is your point of call. £6.50, not £1 granted but around the same price as 2 bags of 5 x Qualatex 24". Just not as good quality, maybe 70% as durable. Poundland has spurious stock of most things, my wife got some OPI nail polish for £1 a bottle which was a bargain and Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Pre Shampoo Treatment also for £1 which was mega expensive elsewhere. There are bargains to be had folks!! I'd suggest the other bags were bought as and when by moms thinking "They will be great for daughters birthday party", a looner would have had the lot.Last edited by LondonLarry; 23-09-2019, 22:04.Comment
