    Balloon factories

Do you think that brands like qualatex, belbal, tuftex or unique, etc. Known about our fetish? Or they dont want to be related with something sexual? We could be a nice and constant market for them, think about that a market of people who are always using your products, even you can say we are addicts to balloons. So why the balloon brands aren’t making a special line for us? I dont know, something like bigger loons with shapes for only looner market
A looner looking for fun, against violence or people with hightened moral idealism…. I just care about loons, so don’t ruin the fun.

CATTEX (Italian manufacturer) is a smaller company than most balloon manufacturers; they know about the fetish and there was an interview done with LOONERS UNITED featuring a representative from the company.

Yeah Cattex still make for our needs, but their GL1200 doesn’t have the huge girth of the old one, but still retains its original length.

        Re: Balloon factories

        Hi,

There's a good chance that some of the more famous brands may be aware of "looners" and "looning"/"balloon fetishism". However, most will NOT want to associate themselves in anyway to anything to do with sex, sexual kinks, fetishes, masturbation and/or pornography, as the linkage - no matter how miniscule - will do more harm than good. Especially in the age of the Internet, where something bad that happens in one part of the world, can become global news within minutes, thanks to Social Media!

It's like with any product, e.g. Coca Cola, or Nike. Their brand has a certain image/status that they spend millions on creating, maintaining, and salvaging. They will not want to risk that brand being "contaminated" by anything seedy, illicit, dodgy or disreputable. Just look at what happens to sports-stars who are sponsored by these firms, when they do something stupid, and suddenly their sponsors drop them and disown them within hours of the stupid act becoming public knowledge. Even if the said star, apologises, makes amends, sponsors rarely come-back until the event is long gone, and people have forgotten about it. (Which can take years!)

The likes of Qualatex, BelBal, Tuff-Tex won't want to risk being known as a product used by (predominantly) men, for sexual gratification, or as masturbatory aids!

Our fetish may be innocuous in the grand scheme of things, but it's still a sexual fetish, and almost no companies are going to risk the damage it will cause them, or might cause them. Reputations are easy to break, and very hard to restore.

Cattex is the exception, but it's only because they don't (as far as I know) worry about having their products being sold to the public for professional reasons (e.g. balloon decorating and other similar events). It's also because, outside of the Looning community, most people wouldn't know Cattex, who they were, or what their products were. So their reputation can risk being linked to "Looners", and - in many ways - their links to us, actually benefits them.

But the same could not be said, if Qualatex (or BelBal, or another more famous brand) tried to do the same.
