Default ~ 40ft loon video
https://youtu.be/4_wOiublGjs

This was an awesome video from the crew at How Rediculous. Thought you all might like to see it if you had not yet. Warning for the non poppers they all pop and very loudly. But there's some slow motion bits as well of the loons shredding. And some of them just tossing them around that looks sweet!

Love their videos..... did you see the one where they were chucking Zorbing Balls off a dam in Switzerland? Bloody hilarious stuff!

Yup all their videos are great. I like the ones where they throw frisbees and airplanes off the dams.

This was pretty cool though that 40ft loon was pretty epic.

Yeah I loved the shock ring left when the balloon burst! Something you don’t see with regular (more normal sized) balloons!

^ I had no idea what the "shock ring" looked like, but it's pretty obvious. I even saw a little hint of such a ring with the 9-footer (the first one to be popped).

That leaf blower(?) certainly needed to have some damned good batteries! I didn't hear the sound of a small fuel-powered motor or anything.

Could there have been at least one looner among those guys?

There's been a lot of thefts of helium-filled balloons recently. More so than in the past, so they're going up. I think inflation is to blame.

I loved this! I would have enjoyed being part of that crew!

As a tomboy, I ran around with a pack of kids in my neighborhood who would have done this kind of thing. We used to pump up balloons on bike pumps until they popped, do firecrackers, etc.

The huge balloons are definitely an extension of that!

Yeah they add color powders to the loons so they leave that shock ring appearance for slow mo.

I would have loved to climb inside that huge balloon and watched it inflate from the inside. With ear plugs of course.

That makes me wonder... how would a balloon pop sound different to someone who's inside the balloon when it bursts?

I've had my climb-in balloons pop a few times from a defect or a snag. They were never that loud but they popped early before they were full size and I was normally only in up to my armpits. As loud as those were because they popped at full size I imagine it would still be pretty loud.
