Is anyone into like shiny down jackets? I've really got into this recently, and was wondering if this somehow ties in with inflation.

When I was in college down jackets became really popular. I was into inflatables since I was a kid and there was something about the inflated look of a well stuffed down jacket that really turned me on. I loved seeing chics wearing them. I eventually bought a down jacket from Gerry, that was very puffy. I remember people commenting on how cushy it looked. I also bought a couple of North Face Nuptse down jackets, still my favorite to wear to this day.

Too bad they don't seem as popular today. I don't think it is unusual for someone into inflatables to be into down jackets.

True, although I think the Nuptse jackets are increasing in popularity. I can see the link between the two fetishes.

I also really love the look of down jackets. I just ordered my first one, I have never owned one so I can’t wait. It’s a Mountain Equipment Annapurna. Some day I will also get a (overfilled) Nuptse🤓
