    How big is the leak?

Okay so I've got an 48" beach ball I enjoy playing with, and I also enjoy having friends do normal play with it. I noticed that it's leaking, at first it'd just get a little soft over night. Now if I inflate it tightly by morning it's lost about a quarter of it's air. How big do you think the leak is?

Hey I was hoping to get an idea of the size of the leak, can someone give me an idea?

Have you tried re-inflating and running water over it? That's my first step. Then I check all the seams, and especially starting at the top and bottoms where corners come together. Good luck.

As big as a pin hole I agree with inflationist, use soapy wáter to look for the leak if you want to patch it. Look around the places which had more pressure in your last session
Let it be, let it free...but keep it nicely

Yeah thing is it's so tiny you can't even hear a hiss.

Yeah, the small holes are always tough. For those kind I sometimes inflate until it's hard (talking about the ball) to see if it'll make the leak more pronounced, without making worse. But it's risky. Like I mentioned, water is a good way to find the leak.

Do you think the leak is going to get worse, or do you believe it's reached it's largest size? I have had the beach ball for about two months now, and it's been played with a lot, and has been inflated a lot.

Sorry to say, yes. It probably will. That's been my experience. I learned early on when a small hole happened, it always got larger with more use. If you can locate the leak, you can try an adhesive tape (something for vinyl). Sometimes I use a small piece of (vinyl) 'duct tape', and try to find a color of tape to match if possible - if you're concerned with color. Or a contact cement/glue or silicone (for plastic) may work. Since it sounds like the hole is tiny, one of those options should work for you. Keep me/us posted on how it goes!!! I know it sucks to get a hole or leak in a favorite inflatable. I popped a seam on a 10 foot beach ball as I was laying on it recently. The hole was inches in size and not repairable - was bummed when that happened.

Electrical tape works pretty well for covering small leaks. It's usually made of vinyl which means the texture, color and stretchiness fit better, and it also doesn't leave residue behind if you remove it.

How fast did it deflate after the seam started leaking

My ball leaked immediately. The seam popped open about 2". The ball was really hard and I knew I was pushing my luck.
