In the good old days of my youth, before most of you were born -- probably before even your parents were born (LOL) -- they had these huge 9-foot long knobby balloons that balloon vendors used at traveling carnivals to get everybody's attention. The balloon vendor would then sell a much small version of the balloon, dupeing hapless buyers who expected get a huge 12-inch diameter by 9-foot long balloon.
The huge balloons were made by a company called Tilly and were called "workers" because they were used to "work the crowd".
Recently the company has revived the manufacture of the Tilly Worker and is selling them on eBay. I just got a few and I'm pleased with the vintage style original latex formula (natural latex is very different than the chemistry of today's modern balloon formula; it's a lot stretchier but not nearly as durable ). I am super excited at the size of these things.
I'll try to attach a pic.
