    Buying Balloons

Does anyone know where it is possible to buy larger balloons in store either in the UK or other European countries?

I'm looking for places where I can buy and collect in person preferably Qualatex or Belbal 14" or above since ordering online is difficult for me at the moment.

I'm not sure about out there, but in Canada some of the dollar stores sell really big ones. (For example, Dollarama, an American chain, sells 4 foot balloons.) Another great place to buy them is party stores. Hope this helps.

Some party stores have them. One party store here in the US sells 9 inch, 12 inch and 36 inch unbranded balloons, but it's hard to find large sizes in store.

Where abouts are you? In London I found loads of party shops which sold various shapes sizes (there's a good one just round the corner from clapham junction station - hundreds of different types of balloons).
Since moving out of London I've found a couple of local party stores one which has good stock and one which will order in anything from their suppliers catalogue. One of them even lets me use their helium tank as she's too afraid to inflate them as big as I do

That's the one thing I hate about our party stores here. They go from 9, 12 and skip to 36inch balloons. Would be nice to see some 17 and/or 24 inch balloons as I'm not fond of 36inch.

There is one store in Norway that sells Qualatex balloons, but they are really expensive compared to online stores.
I've found two other kinds of bigger balloons here, but neither of them are from any well known brands.
The first are 15"(?) paddle balloons, which I think are made in Thailand. They have decent quality and looks more or less like the 15" Mexico.
The other kind are some 16-19" (not quite sure about the size) round balloons made in Denmark by Bini Balloons. I haven't tried them much, so I can't tell much about the quality.

That's kind of the problem, I'm in different places month to month and home only a few days every few weeks. The local party stores I've been to haven't had anything exciting and I don't really want to get stuff sent to my parents house, not hoards of balloons anyway...

I guess I was wondering if there are any chain stores I should be looking out for, UK or European that generally stock larger than standard balloons. I did hear that Toys R Us were, but I couldn't find anything in the UK stores.

Since I've now exhausted my (somewhat limited anyway) collection of decent balloons from a couple of years ago I need to find ways to get more. I'm thinking the way to go is probably a P.O. box.

              Anything near Oslo?

P.S. This week I'm in Italy so if any of my Italian counterparts know where to buy the big balloons, speak up! Grazie.

Quite a few places won't ship to a P.O. box. I used to have one and tried it for a few things, gave up with it in the end as no-where would ship to it.

Ah crap... Well this is no fun. Do the main online balloon suppliers use neutral packaging?

It's in Sandefjord, which isn't that far away from Oslo if you have a car available.

Both Loonerworld and Nordiclooners uses plain envelopes without any logos. They may be labeled with "party supplies" on the back for customs though.

                      That actually works really well!

Well Tesco in UK started selling these.
No idea of the size so coin for reference. Also they come with the clip which is pretty good.

Looks like a 36" one to me.

Looks like a very decent balloon!
I would expect this kind of balloons in a supermarket!

Some of the Hobbycraft store chain sell Belbal 12" & bigger, but they are in bags of 50 or 100. Look in the wedding section.
