I've seen plenty from the US over the years, but I'm guessing looners from the UK (and Western Europe in general) might be a bit more open about it, making it look like there's more of them. At least from what I udnerstand, Americans, at least from certain parts of the country, are often a bit more conservative and therefore maybe less likely to be open about being a looner.
Just my 2 (Euro)cents.

I've noticed this trend also. It seems like it's rare to find US based people, let alone more than one in any given state. It's surprising, considering the US population is roughly 4-5 times that of the U.K., you would think that statistically there would be quite a few more here.

It may not be folks 'primary' fetish though.... Like they'll use balloons, inflatables etc- but as part of a bigger fetish interest like latex, heavy gear, puppy play etc.

As an American I'd say it's because most people here are relatively conservative and don't explore their sexuality, much less tell others about it.

I mean, you know how many states have abstance only sex education?

We're really against things regarding sex in the states, so it's generally not something talked about.

There's probably a lot of closet looners who don't wanna break out of the norm because they're taught it's wrong.

The same thing can be said about probably any fetish, and of course homosexuality.

And no, I'm not saying their on the same level (I don't think anyone's ever hung themselves because of a kink) but I'm saying in general America is much less open about sex talk then other parts of the world.

I've always thought the opposite... I thought there was more looners in the states than in the UK. I guess the grass always looks greener on the other side (of the pond).

Germany appears to be a hotspot for it - if you look through ebay.de the majority of balloons and inflatables for sale are fully inflated if not over inflated in the photos... it just appears to be the German way. Maybe they're all looners and haven't realised it yet.

I'd agree with European countries being a bit more prevalent, I reckon Germany likes their balloons as they are always blown up beautifully (as Vicci said).

However I'm an Australian and I reckon we are scarce over here!
